One treatment, three technologies

Glacē by Candela is a clinical facial platform built around three technologies used in sequence: diamond-tip hydrodermabrasion, dual-mode cupping massage and LED phototherapy.

Hydrodermabrasion uses controlled vacuum suction through a single-use, diamond-integrated tip. As the tip passes over the skin, it mechanically exfoliates the outer layer of dead cells and draws congestion out of the pores, while infusing serum into the freshly exfoliated surface.

The serums work in two phases. Phase A cleanses and prepares the skin; Phase B is chosen for your specific concern.

A dual-mode cupping handpiece then applies a controlled negative-pressure massage in two modes: a pulsed mode that stimulates lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness, and a continuous mode that sculpts and defines the facial contours.

The treatment finishes with LED phototherapy. Specific wavelengths of light are absorbed by the skin’s cells and stimulate their activity without heat or UV, a process known as photobiomodulation.

Each session begins with a skin analysis, so the serums are selected for your individual skin concerns on the day.

What the treatment involves:

  1. Diamond-tip hydrodermabrasion:
    • Gentle vacuum exfoliation lifts away dull surface build-up while infusing antioxidant-rich serums matched to your skin.
    • Tips come in four levels of exfoliation, so the treatment can be as gentle or as thorough as your skin needs.
    • Hygienic single-use tips, comfortable even on delicate areas.
  1. Serums chosen for your skin:
    • Purifying: clarifies oily or blemish-prone skin.
    • Energising: vitamin-rich, for dull or tired skin.
    • Brightening: antioxidants to even skin tone.
    • Soothing: calms reactive or redness-prone skin.
    • Anti-ageing: hydrating and restorative, for maturing skin.
    • Radiance: replenishes tired skin for a glass-like finish.
  1. Dual-mode cupping massage:
    • A soothing sculpting massage that supports lymphatic drainage.
    • Helps reduce the appearance of puffiness and leaves facial contours looking refreshed and temporarily more defined.
  1. 15 minutes of LED light therapy:
    • The treatment finishes under an LED light panel while a calming biocellulose mask settles the skin.
    • Red light: the most widely studied colour, used to calm the skin and support collagen.
    • Near-infrared light: reaches deeper, and is used to support the skin’s recovery.
    • Blue light: used for blemish-prone skin.
    • The light setting is chosen for your skin on the day. It is painless, involves no UV, and protective eyewear is provided.
  1. Why patients choose it:
    • Immediate: a visible glow after a single session.
    • Relaxing: painless, with no downtime.
    • Lasting: regular sessions support long-term skin health.
    • Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and darker skin tones.
  1. Clinical background:
    • In Candela’s clinical study, 100% of participants reported cleaner skin and 97% reported improved hydration after treatment.

The Glacē Programme: £900. Three treatments with your consultation, standardised photography and a review. A single session is £350. To maintain results, we suggest repeating the treatment every 3–4 months.
